Four Steps to Success

1. Show Up

It is guaranteed that if you don’t show up for things, you will not be successful at them.

2. Pay Attention

Be the "Observer". People full of their own preconceived ideas and personal agendas are in states of mind that effectively screen out the actual multitude of possibilities present in a situation. A Genius has the ability to see new and novel patterns in what everyone else sees as ordinary and of no value. Have the mind of a discovering child and ask a lot of questions. At age 5, we have an acute ability to express ourselves, but are not yet fully constrained by culture and conditioning.

3. Tell the Truth

Intellectual Truth telling is the ability to report facts accurately without the interjection of opinion. Emotional Truth telling is the ability to express emotions accurately, that is, without confusing or substituting one emotion for another (Mis-Emotion).

4. Don't Be Attached to the Outcome

The most difficult for the majority of people. Attachments involve the clinging to a position, goal, or objective in spite of the fact that it will not work or that it will ultimately cause harm or damage to the person holding that point of view. This occurs when a person’s ego becomes more important than the person themselves. In order for attachments to exist, there must be a denial of the bottom-line reality of a situation.
